Jessica Jackson is Vice President & Chief of Staff, serving in the Office of the Chancellor, where she helps drive strategic initiatives, organizational alignment, and executive operations across the system. She partners with senior leaders to advance institutional priorities, strengthen governance, and foster enterprise-wide collaboration.
Ms. Jackson joined American Public University System in 2008 and has held a variety of leadership roles throughout her tenure. Prior to her current position, she served in several human resources leadership capacities, helping to build and transform the organization's HR function. She led the implementation of automation and process improvements across all major areas of human resources, enhancing efficiency, scalability, and employee experience.
Ms. Jackson earned a Master of Arts in Management with a concentration in Human Resources from American Public University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Shepherd University. She also holds the Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential from the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).
